With the Dropbox connection, you can automatically import invoices and receipts from Dropbox into your Zenvoices administration.

How does it work?

You can connect one or more Dropbox accounts to a Zenvoices administration. To do this, create a channel within the administration. The channel is linked to a Dropbox account, where you configure from which directory documents should be retrieved and what should happen to the documents after they have been processed.

Creating a Dropbox channel

In a Zenvoices administration, go to Manage / Administration / Channels and click ‘New channel’. Then choose ‘Dropbox’ and click ‘Next’. Dropbox will open and ask whether you want to grant Zenvoices access to your account. After granting access, your Dropbox account is linked and you can further configure the connection.

Important notes

  • In the directory settings, backslashes (\) are not allowed. Therefore, use slashes (/).

  • Documents from subdirectories of the configured directory are not retrieved.

  • If a document is moved to a configured directory, the date and time of processing are added to the file name of the document.

  • ZIP files are automatically extracted.

  • The standard delivery size limits for invoices and receipts apply to the Dropbox connection.

Example:

We use the Dropbox folder below as an example.

Zenvoices settings:

Click ‘Retrieve documents’ to collect documents.

Via the ‘Log’, you can check whether the files have been successfully imported.
