Introduction

Zenvoices integrates with various on-premise accounting systems. For this integration, integration software is installed on a local server of the user. The Zenvoices software then connects to this server to exchange data.

I. Which data is exchanged?

Depending on the accounting system, the following data is exchanged:

A. Reading

  • Administration data

  • Fiscal years and periods

  • Master data

    • Accounts (creditors/debtors)

    • Ledger accounts

    • Cost centres

    • Cost units

    • Projects

    • Items

    • Currencies

    • Payment terms

    • Countries

    • VAT codes

    • VAT scenarios

B. Writing

  • Accounts (creditors/debtors)

  • Purchase and sales bookings

  • Archive documents (attachments of bookings, usually a PDF document)

II. How is the communication between Zenvoices and the on-premise server secured?

The communication between Zenvoices and the on-premise server is secured in the following way:

  1. Authentication: authentication is required to communicate with the on-premise server. This uses a secret key (Zenvoices secret token) or a username and password.

  2. Encryption: all communication is encrypted using 256-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL).

  3. IP restrictions: only the IP addresses of Zenvoices have access to the on-premise server.

III. Where are the Zenvoices servers located and who manages them?

Zenvoices runs on Microsoft Azure servers in Amsterdam (Azure data centre Europe West). Data is processed and stored here. These servers are owned and managed by Microsoft Azure.

Microsoft Azure complies with a wide range of international and company-specific compliance standards such as ISO 27001, HIPAA, FedRAMP, SOC 1 and SOC 2.
