This error message during file upload may occur when the limits of our OCR functionality are exceeded. The upload limits are described in this article. To review the properties of a PDF file, open the file in Adobe and click on ‘Properties’ (or use the shortcut Ctrl+D).

Then check whether the file size (bytes) and/or page dimensions exceed the allowed limits.
