Preparation by the King on-premise system administrator

Check in advance whether the following requirements are met:

  1. Check whether the customer is working with KING ERP 5.57 or higher.

  2. Check whether the customer has a KING ERP monthly subscription.

  3. Check whether the customer has a KING ERP client-server installation. This is a requirement for King Webservices.

  4. Check whether the customer has a fixed WAN IP address or a fixed hostname.

  5. Check whether a WAN TCP port can be opened in the firewall/router for a range of IP addresses.

  6. Check whether access can be granted to the KING ERP database server (via TeamViewer, AnyDesk, or similar), so that the installation can be performed remotely (optional).

Preparation by the system administrator for King ERP on-premise

The following steps must be performed by the customer’s system administrator in preparation for the installation:

  1. Install the following components on the KING ERP database server:

    a. .NET Framework version 4.8 or higher

    b. Internet Information Services (IIS) version 7.0 or higher, including all ASP .NET components (via Turn Windows features on or off, see the King Webservices manual for details)

  2. Open WAN (internet) TCP port 8900 in the firewall/router for the Zenvoices IP addresses (see this list) and forward it to TCP port 8900 of the server on which the KING ERP database is running. Also open TCP port 8900 in the local firewall of this server, if present (for example Windows Firewall).

  3. Create a directory for the digital archive if it does not yet exist and follow the steps below:

    • This directory must be accessible as a UNC path for the KING ERP client workstations.

    • In addition, the domain user group IIS_IUSRS must be granted write access to this directory. Is the archive directory located on an external server? Then grant the Active Directory computer account of the computer on which King Webservices is running access to this directory.

    • Ensure that this directory is included in any backups.

    • This step is not necessary if no digital archive is used in KING ERP.
