Tips for faster processing in the transaction screen

Read here how you can process faster using shortcuts, the calculator function, duplicating transaction lines and accrual/deferral posting.

Shortcuts

Press '?' in Zenvoices to view an overview of the available shortcuts in the current screen.

Shortcuts are available in the following screens:

  • Edit transaction

  • View transaction

  • Authorize transaction

  • Overviews

Available shortcuts transaction screen

  • Move the cursor through the transaction screen: 'Tab / Shift + Tab'

  • Horizontal scrolling: 'Shift + mouse wheel'

Available shortcuts transaction lines

  • Move the cursor through the transaction screen: 'Tab / Shift + Tab'

  • Show lookup list: 'Alt + ↓'

  • Save a completed cell: 'Enter'

  • Apply changes in a cell: 'F2'

  • Undo changes in a cell: 'Esc'

  • Move the cursor when all cells are completed: 'arrow keys'

Overviews

  • Horizontal scrolling: 'Shift + mouse wheel'
    (For overviews such as To review and the digital Archive)

Calculator function

The calculator function is available in both the amount and quantity fields in the transaction screen. See the following article for this.

Duplicate transaction lines

By right-clicking on the relevant transaction lines you can duplicate the transaction line to the next line. This means for example that only the general ledger account and amount need to be adjusted.

Accrual/deferral posting

Depending on the connected accounting package, revenue or costs can be distributed over multiple periods. See the following article for this.

Useful to know

  • If you want to modify a proposed transaction line, you must first fill the required cells before another change in that line will be accepted.

  • A line must be completely correct before it can be saved.

  • Column settings, order and widths can be changed.

  • A new transaction line is automatically added when you are adding a line and press 'TAB' in the last column. This can be removed again with the 'Esc' key.

  • For the general ledger line amount field, use the corner arrow down to calculate the amount excl. VAT:

  • For the general ledger line amount field, use the corner arrow up to calculate the amount incl. VAT:

  • For the general ledger line amount field, use the scale icon to calculate the remaining amount of the transaction:

  • Dark mode (High contrast modes): Shift + Alt + Print screen.
